MOVED TO TEARS:
A magnificent, and profoundly moving performance of “St. Matthews Passion”,
took place in St. Michael and All Angels church PG, on Saturday April 5th.

The Two Rivers Community Orchestra and Choir, lovingly and brilliantly executed this
most famous musical score by J.S. Bach, led by guest conductor, Jose Delgado-Guevara.

The musical score of 27 hymns, interspersed with readings from St. Matthew’s Gospel
of the Passion of Christ, filled the church to the rafters, and provided the audience with
an embodied experience, which effortlessly, lifted our minds, bodies and spirits to the
Divine.

Seated in the back row, as I listened to the depths and heights of the music and song, I was
moved to tears, and I was filled with spiritual feelings of repentance mixed with immense
joy, for having had the privilege of attending this transformative experience during Lent, in
God’s Holy Space.
