St. Peters Monte Creek is found eighteen miles east of Kamloops.
This picturesque church has been in use for the last ninety years. Today a thriving parish of 27 families worship together, clean and maintain the church and parish hall. We are a unique parish with services held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Extra services take place at Christmas and Easter. Evensong and cowboy services have also been a part of our worship.
Our parish mission is to worship together, care for one another, and raise funds for church and outreach. We are a joyous, welcoming community supportive of one another and of newcomers and visitors.
Our hall and kitchen provide the facility for after service lunches, dinners, and other activities. The church and guild support charities locally and internationally. The Women’s Shelter has recently been our main local focus. We also collect and make up Christmas hampers. Fund raisers include a yearly flea market in the spring, and a hot dog and book sale in the fall. An Italian dinner has been a great success on two occasions.
We have been lovingly administered to by a number of excellent parish priests over the years. We are also experiencing an increasing congregational participation in our services.
