Sacred Circle at St. Michael & All Angels

St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church held a Sacred Circle to honour our journey towards Truth and Reconciliation with the Indigenous peoples of Canada.

Twenty seven parishioners gathered together in a circle and listened to the stories voiced by four Indigenous survivors of the BC residential school system.

Their words and tears moved so many of us settlers to tears as well. Sincere words of apology were expressed to the survivors and their loved ones, and peace flowed over us like a stream of living water.

Thank you Creator for those amazing, courageous story tellers; we listened to them deep within our hearts, we cried with them, and we walked out together quietly and humbly.
