On Sunday morning June 21st, which marked the National Indigenous Day of Prayer, Father's Day, the First Day of Summer, and Graduation Weekend at the local secondary school in Merritt, the people of the Scw'exmx Parish gathered for outdoor worship of Morning Prayer in the beautiful garden between the church and the parish hall.
The people of the parish were invited to arrive with their own lawn chair, and if they were inclined to have coffee, were encouraged to bring a travel mug filled in their own home kitchen!
The photos, courtesy of Carmen Fairley, depict the gathering with the Rev. Angus Muir proclaiming the Gospel.
