Representatives from Lytton First Nation, the Village of Lytton, and the Territory of the People joined many others at the Cedar at the Centre Chief Cexepe’nthlEm Park Project work commencement ceremony today.
Thanks to everyone involved in its organisation and also for lunch. Chief Cexepe’nthlEm (pronounced Spintlum) was a man of faith and grace, a great leader who, in a time of anger, was able to find common ground for the sake of everyone, to better the lives of everyone.
The park will be a wonderful and lasting way of remembering Chief Cexepe’nthlEm; and an opportunity for storytelling and learning form each other into the future.
