Lillooet tries a new Advent tradition

This year, St. Andrew's/St. Mary's will follow a tradition called Posada, which is becoming popular among congregations.

Posada is the Spanish word for inn and also a tradition commemorating Mary and Joseph’s journey to the inn at Bethlehem.

During the lead-up to Christmas, our Mary and Joseph (together with goodies), will be travelling around our community and stopping overnight with different families.

On Christmas Eve, they will be brought into church and placed in our stable.
