On Saturday March 25th Lay Ministers, Altar Guild Members and interested friends gathered for a learning session about leading, praying and setting the table. 27 people from the Three Rivers Parishes gathered at St Michael and All Angels in Prince George.
We spent a morning session exploring our Anglican tradition and roots, our ways of leadership and how to do this prayerfully and confidently as servants. Following a shared lunch, we then explored aspects of setting the table for eucharist, and reviewing the various symbols, linens, physical aspects used in the service and what they mean, how to care for them and why they are used. It was a good review for those who have been engaged in these ministries for some time, and a good introduction for those who are new to the work or curious about these forms of service.
Stories, laughter and learning. It was a lovely gathering of St John’s Quesnel, Grace Anglican and St Michael and All Angels. A wonderful time of fellowship and faith sharing in Lent together.
