On Sunday, May 26th, Rev. John Boyd from the ABT Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC), was installed as Rector at St. Georges Anglican Church in Kamloops.
Bishop Barbara Andrews led the induction service with members of St. George's presenting Pastor John with symbols of the office of Word and Sacrament.
John's wiife, the Rev. Jane Gingrich from Hills of Peace Lutheran church in Kamloops, and the Dean of the Southern Interior Region, preached a wonderful sermon. Rev. Kathy Martin, Assistant to the ELCIC Bishop for Mission Renewal, brought greetings from the BC Synod.
