An Emerging Missional Community is Established!

On March 23rd, a new and emerging missional community was established at Spences Bridge. They have chosen the name of St. Hilda’s Anglican Church. They are an extension of the ministry and mission of St. Alban’s in Ashcroft. At their February Annual Vestry Meeting, the parish of St. Alban’s voted to enter a covenant relationship with the newly formed community at Spences Bridge, offering spiritual and administrative oversight to St. Hilda’s. The bishop gave her consent and blessing, and was confirmed by the Administration Committee. The bishop joined the St. Hilda’s community to celebrate this event and provided a Deed of Establishment along with a Covenant that everyone in attendance signed as they joined their prayers and support to this new endeavour.
