The third annual Primate’s World Relief and Development Wild Ride is BACK!

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), this year more than 100 million people will be forcibly displaced or stateless – the highest number in history. Refugees often embark on dangerous journeys in pursuit of safety, and these journeys all-too-frequently meet a tragic end. According to the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM), migrant deaths in the Central Mediterranean have hit a six-year high in 2023. PWRDF partners are working to support refugees in Gaza, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Jordan, Ukraine and more.

This summer I am joining the third annual PWRDF Wild Ride as it marks 65 years of support for refugees and internally displaced people. PWRDF's goal is to raise $65,000.  I will be cycling 65 km from Kamloops to St. Peter’s Monte Creek and hosting walks along the Rivers’ Trail to the labyrinth where we will share refugee stories and pray for refugees and displaced people.

Join Joy Gothard at Pioneer Park by the kiosk under the Red Bridge for the first hosted walk on Friday July 26 at 10 am. The St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kamloops website & Facebook will keep you informed of future dates to join her on the ride and /or walk.

Join the Wild Ride 65 for 65 and put your $$stamp on it!  Your support is greatly appreciated.
