The Vicar of Woodpecker Celebrates St Marks History

On Sunday August 4th, 2019 St. Marks, Woodpecker celebrated its 80th Anniversary with a potluck picnic and Parish Thanksgiving service blessing the font and lectern and all who built and attended the church over the years.  Bishop Barbara Andrews came, people from St. Michaels and Grace in Prince George came. People from St. John the Divine in Quesnel came. It was a wonderful day with many memories and stories told of the early days. Special guests included Ruth who was married at St. Marks in 1943 and Al Thorpe with many childhood memories of attending services. Altogether about 50 people gathered to celebrate this happy day.
