2023 PWRDF National Gathering

The 2023 PWRDF National Gathering was held October 26& 27, 2023.  Diocesan Representative was able to attend. This was time of Thanksgiving and also a lead to an important time of engagement with PWRDF staff, directors and diocesan representatives about the life-changing and life-saving work of PWRDF and our partners. Primate’s World Relief and Development organization is ever encouraged and always grateful for each Territory Parish which does so much to engage, support and pray for their neighbours in need around the world, including in Canada and in their local community.

The Keynote speaker was Andres Ramos, Partner from Grupo Commicarte, Columbia presented an overview of their non-profit work with young people who operate “Voices and Whispers of Paramos” radio programs throughout Columbia. Their radio programs educate people about the relationship of the Amazon Rain Forest and the availability of water resources in Columbia and further south in the continent.  They equip the people to advocate for forest protection and water rights by community building, education, and academic support.

Joy returns inspired and updated on partner activities, renewed with energy to get to know and support each parish in the Territory of the People.  Parishes may look forward to her report to Coordinating Council and a package of sample resources.
